I took two lessons from this early encounter with people who were responsible for “guiding” young lives. 

Firstly: Don’t trust any guidance that leads you away from your own inner voice and knowing and insisting that theirs is better. 

All guidance should connect you to your own innate wisdom, not someone else’s. 

Secondly: My apparent rude reply was an early clue to my purpose and calling to be a disruptive voice in a scripted world, but nobody saw value in it.  

I want to promise you two things.... 

I’m more interested in your wisdom than mine and will always connect you to that.

I’m going to Guide you towards things that point to your own unique genius. Things that perhaps no one sees value in, but I do. 

I value being a Guide in your life and appreciate you.
